Sitting in the back of the car to increase the risk of serious injury in case of accidents.

Adults who sat in the back of the car seat, have a higher risk of serious injury in case of accidents. That compared with sitting in front of the car.

The research team from the Neuroscience Research Australia found the front seats far exceeds the backseat in terms of development of security features for decades.

"We can save many lives and prevent serious injury if the safety concerns with the rear seats in the front seat. Immediately, the car safety should be improved" said Professor Lynne Bilston, from the University of New South Wales, Australia, as quoted from the Daily Mail.

Previous research on the production car with a year older has shown that the passengers in the rear seat have a lower risk of serious injury in the accident. However, since the mid-1990s, the front seats are equipped with air bags, and seat belts have been made in a better position for front passenger.

Security's features on the front of the car are often not there in the back seat, even in newer cars, which means the front seats are now relatively safer than the backseat for adult passengers.

For adults is relatively safe in the front seat, the effect will be better in older adults. While the kids are safer in rear seats.

Professor Bilston and his team compared the risk of injury to the passenger seat and rear seats in cars manufactured between 1990 and 1996. The results, a new output car are safer than old cars. A significant decrease in the risk of injury there in the head, chest and abdomen that often occur in the front seat passenger when the accident occurred. Vivanews
